number of event, fact, marriage media items per person or family

In the user manual it says there is a limit of 600 items per person for event, fact, marriage media items. Does that mean I can have 600 event media items, AND 600 fact media items, AND 600 marriage media items? Or is the combined set--event, fact, marriage--limited to 600 total?

I have been putting pdfs of census records, newspaper clippings, etc in the general media section which is limited to 400 items per person. Now I'm thinking about adding individual photos. Some of my people (not many) have 600 or more photos. I wonder if I can create a Photo Event and plunk the majority of photos there, For those few who have more than 600 photos could I create second Event and add more? Or, perhaps I could add more photos in the Fact category? 600 photos in Photo Event, and 600 more in the Fact area?

Why not put the photos in the Media section?

I don't know if there's a limit on how many you can attach, but that's the logical place to put them.

Open the manual from the Help menu and search for

    media

    Lots of information there.

600 is the total of field linked media items per person. Events + facts media for person records and events + marriage media for family records. So if you link 600 media items to a person's events you can not link any media to facts.

Also, general media is limited to 400 and does not count against the fields media,

Thanks Gregg. So technically I could have 400 general media items plus 600 events media items?

I have thousands of documents and photographs that I'd like to add to the people in my Reunion database. So far I've solved the photograph problem by adding a Photograph event and then adding a link to that person's Flickr.com album in the Event Memo field. I put the birth year in for the date of the event so it shows at the top of the list in the Family View. Flickr allows unlimited photos and this way I can save the Reunion media items (400 + 600 I hope) for documents and letters.
