Finding duplicates entries in files

I was working in "Places" to day editing some places Ames etc., and noticed in the list of names associated with serials town may duplicate entries. Is there away to search my own files to list duplicates entries without having to go to each location -- a particular town, etc.

Maybe I was a bit hasty in assuming all were duplicates: I checked on one "Place" and the list of "Events" associated with that place and see some names twice, but once as birth and another as deaths maybe I was looking at events rather than names. I try to be careful about duplicates.
