    Bug in using Child Status

For some reason the “Child Status” button no longer works. Whenever I attempt to change the status of a child, Reunion v14 (and v13 for that matter) simply invokes the process of transferring that person from the “child” to “couple” screen. Thus, rendering the intended action of altering the child status impossible to accomplish.

Please fix this problem in the next round of updating version 14.

I was not able to duplicate what you experience. It works fine for me in the regular family view and in Batch mode in both v14 and v13.

My experience is that I can change the Child Status using the Batch for children but no where else. Version 13 or 14. The children area is the only place I can display the status.

I'm not sure what is meant by "Child Status button."

You can click a child's person menu button at the top-right of the child's name to get the menu you see below.

As far as I can tell, this all appears to be working properly.

Here is what mine looks like: There is no option for Child Status? Michael is a twin and is marked that way in the Batch entry for children. Version 14 or 13 - Is there something you need to set in settings to get the Child Status to show?

It seems we have two possible misbehaviors being presented here -- one by the original poster and another by Roger.

The OP says attempting to change the child status "simply invokes the process of transferring that person from the “child” to “couple” screen. Thus, rendering the intended action of altering the child status impossible to accomplish."

That is a different behavior than what Roger is saying. He is saying the status, once set, is not SHOWING in the way or where he thinks it should be showing.

Note that the "Child Status" menu option will only appear when you click the person menu button for that person when they appear as a child on the family view. The person menu for people that appear as a member of the source couple or a parent will not get a "Child Status" menu option.

All is well. Reunion v14 is working correctly. And this old fox learned a couple of new tricks. THANK YOU.
