    Global Change of Event

    Hi,
I have had reunion for a few years, but have never really used it because l didn't like the way it handled media.
After the new Ver 14, wow!!!.
Media in events, dark mode, better handling of sources on import, it's great.
I have decided to make it my main Genealogy app.
    Now for my question.
I imported a GEDCOM from MacFamilyTree Ver 10.3, using Gedcom ver 7. (25.000 people)
One of the events (Occupation) was imported as *New [OCCU].
I would like change all these events to "Employment".
Is there a way to do that Globally or do l have to change each one individually?
As l have thousands of this ev event it would be a lot easier to do it globally.
    Any help please?
    Cheers
    John

Since "New [OCCU]" is already an event, then you can go into Reunion > Settings > Fields, locate the "New [OCCU]" event, rename it to "Employment" and configure the other settings like Abbreviation and Narrative form.

I have the same issue as JW ... my import has come from a Family Historian gedcom.... are you saying that you are changing *New [OCCU to EMPL ?] Any advice much appreciated.

Would it be fair to say that Reunion 14 treats OCCU as a profession, calling or skillset "FACT", like dentist, lawyer, graphic designer, systems analyst, baker, cordwainer ... and EMPL as an "EVENT" - a job perhaps for a company, farmer, business, Govt Department, bank or service that one might have at a particular time or period and place ? Would that be pretty right ?
