Merging Two Family Files

MERGING TWO FAMILY FILES
Hello - I have 2 family files with data I want to keep in both. Does anyone know how I can merge these two files together without loosing and information? Regards Barry

When merging two family files, keep in mind that:
1) The donor file remains unaltered.
2) The recipient file will contain both the old data AND the new data for the affected individuals.

That said, you will have to inspect the recipient file for duplicate entries of individuals, merge them, and then inspect those individual data sheets for duplicate facts, events, and notes.
