Does anyone know how to search the "Note" field in Places. In Advanced Find the pull down menu has "Notes" and then "Any Note Field" but it doesn't seem to work when I search for things that I know are in that field.

Just use the regular 'Find' function, not 'Advanced Find'. The results will appear in the right side-bar. The find results are persistent in that if you naviagte the right side-bar away from find results and then go back (eg. Cmd-Shift-F) it will execute the last Find again. Unlike when finding people, where the results are cached and returned instantaneously, regular Finds are not cached.--
