I set preferences to search my Desktop (where I have an alias to specific image folder) first to add media. Yet in all versions of Reunion it's always opened to Documents. I tried to set default to Documents/<specific image folder> and that too only opens to Documents.

It would be helpful if you would show how you set up the search, e.g. the line in the multimedia search prefs (Example: "~/Documents/Reunion Files/Reunion Pictures"). What does your search line look like?Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

While I'm not the number one expert.... I'm thinking that the search destination needs to be a folder and I'm pretty sure "Desktop" is not a folder. My guess is that you need to add the name of the alias folder and that the search is ignoring the first line because it finds no folder and moves on to the second line. If the alias folder name is Sample, you might try making the first line "~/Desktop/Sample" and see if that gets the result. If that doesn't work, hopefully either Gregg or the Kiwi may help. Note: the default is Users / <home> / Pictures / Reunion Pictures. However, it could have been changed to Documents at some point in time.
I hope you find this helpful in explaining why you may be seeing what you areDeb Stuller
