Hi All, I have switched over from using Drop box to Apple iCloud and have found this to not be working properly. I had to move some people around via the clip board and got the message that sharing would be reset. I understand that you only need to turn on sharing if you share with a device not on the same wifi network. I reset sharing on my iMac and then proceeded to download the file from iCloud. Here is the sharing status dialogue:

Once I load the file on my ipad the file appears to load then this happens:

This never returns to the home screen, just sits there and i can leave for several hours. I have a fairly fast internet connection so I know it is not that. The family file is only 15mb with 606 people in it. I checked out the icloud faq and I verified all of the issues they describe in there...
-------------------------------------------------
So I decided to try something that sometimes works. I deleted the app from my ipad and any data it had saved, (when deleting it warns you that it will delete data on your iPad- which shouldn't be an issue as you only have data on the iCloud server - make sure that is where your file is before deleting the app!!!) and then re-installed it from the app store. I navigated to the location of the icloud data file and it loaded with all of the current information and changes i had done for the last few days.
Sharing status on my iMac now shows it is sharing with my iPad.
So here is my take on this - I believe that on the iPad it is caching some of the information or perhaps the whole file and never is able to update the file from Apples servers.
Support/developers need to look into this and find out why this is happening. It is a frustrating situation if you are trying to sync and nothing happens.
I am using the latest iPadOS and macOS operating systems.
Dan
