Delete Family Event Codes

I created some new family event codes but now want to remove a couple of them.
The "Remove Event" field (in the Event Settings) is always greyed out however, even on the ones I just added, have not used, and now want to delete.
How do I delete them?
Also, is there any easy way of finding where particular codes have been used?

Whoops! Just found it in the settings! I was using the Edit Setting feature whilst trying to modify or add an entry.
