Hi, I'm tring to delete a person record, but am unable to. According to the tutorial the option should appear when selecting the person record and then go to 'File' in the menu bar, but that's not working (see screenshot). It is rather easy to delete spouses, but there is no such option to delete a child or other way to delete a person record. Screenshot 2024-10-18 at 11.19.17.png

There are several methods for deleting people in the Help File, along with warnings to be careful.
I usually drag the person to the clipboard to make sure it has the effect I want --- then if I'm sure, I delete the clipboard.

What Kirk said PLUS looking at the screenshot, you are in the wrong place. For the delete via the menu method, you need to be in Family View. In that mode, the Delete gives you four choices which are the person, the card, marked and unmarked people.
