    Searching for cousin marriages

Is there a way to do a search for all the couples in a Reunion file who are related to each other, preferably with specified criteria such as all couples who are first cousins, all couples who are second cousins or closer, all couples who are related to each other in at least three different ways, etc.? It would also be useful to have columns for Number of Relationships to Partner and Nearest Relationship to Partner in couple lists and reports.

I know how to obtain this info for a specific pair, but not how to get it in a list for the whole file. Since there are over 70,000 individuals and over 20,000 couples in my file, and hundreds of them are related to each other by blood, it is impractical to figure out what the exact number is by brute force.

I think the best you can do for now is create a list of spouses that have a common ancestry by using the Advanced Find for Couples > Attributes > Interfamily Marriage - Yes. Note that divorced spouses do not meet the criteria for this search. For my family file this search takes a couple of minutes to complete. Then, as you know from the manual:

Once you create a list, you can save the list and recall it anytime... ...each interfamily marriage (couple) appears in the Results sidebar. Drag and drop one of the couples from the Results sidebar into one of the two "spots" (Person 1 or Person 2) in the Find relationship panel (Reunion will inject both names).

After that couple's relationships are calculated (and there can be many for the same pair) you can click the Share button, Copy Description to Clipboard, click the green arrow beside one of the couple to go to their family card, and then paste into the family's marriage notes. This doesn't avoid processing a potentially long list of couples, but once done all their relationships and the names of the common ancestors are searchable for reporting under Couples > Notes > Misc. Notes.
