I’ve made a mess with V14 Book report objects

I’m experimenting for the first time with adding objects to a Book report, including the new object types offered by Reunion 14. I seem to have created an impossible mess that cannot be undone. Apparently such additions (or deletions) on either the Front Cover or the Back Cover are permanent, and even affect other versions of Reunion. I made a Front Cover change in V13 and when I next created a new book in V14, the V13 changes appeared in the new V14 Book report!

Also, I accidentally deleted the Book Title from the Front Cover and recreating the book does not restore the Book Title on the Front Cover. The attached image shows the Front Cover created in V14, with the “V13” text object visible at the bottom. This also shows that the Book Title is missing. How do I restore the default Front and Back covers and why is V13 affecting V14?

If your cover page has become too difficult to clean up, you can delete the front and/or back cover page and add a new one.

To delete the front or back cover, select it in the Sections list and click the minus button to delete it.

Then click the plus button and select one of the default cover pages - back or front.

Thank you, Gregg, for this solution. The delete and add worked as described and now I have the original default cover pages back. Apparently when you modify the cover pages, they are visible to multiple versions of Reunion.

        That is correct.

Your most recent front and back cover arrangements are saved as defaults to be used when new books are created.

As long as you make use of the text tags, like [bookTitle] [bookSubtitle] [bookCopyright] [bookAuthor], in your cover pages - the fields that you define when you create each book will appear on the cover pages, headers and footers.

If, after the book is created, you want to change any of these text fields, do it in the Book Settings > Titles window rather than replacing the tags.
