Solution for data-limited internet connection?

For those of us that do not have unlimited data connections, is there a method of syncing Reunion 11 with a mobile device, as in previous versions?

I'll second that request.
Not to mention I don't want this massive amount of personal data out there in the "Cloud". Talk about a gold mine for personal identity theft.

A choice of wifi sync or Dropbox would be best. Then the user can decide.

Most of us have given up asking about this, but we haven't gone away. Yet.

This 'improvement' is the Number One drawback to Reunion, in my opinion.

#1 - I live in a rural area, lucky to have internet at all, and what we have is very slow and not dependable. SO much easier to connect devices with a cable or blue tooth!!!

#2 - I don't care to have my information 'out there'.

I'd like this feature back as well. I have to export a gedcom, import to Reunion 10 and sync as I don't want to use dropbox for that file. Thanks

Actually, I'd never thought of that. Not a perfect solution by any means, but it would allow me to carry a 'skeleton' tree with me to at least see relationships.

That worked great, Aileen! Not perfect, but as long as I do the export-import gedcom every month or two, I think I'll be satisfied.
