Annotating PDFs

I am scanning paper files to PDF. In many cases, I use Mac Preview to add notes and annotations to the file (e.g. IDing people whose 1st names only are mentioned in letters). When I attach the file as a multimedia document to a person in Reunion, the annotation disappears when the file is opened in Reunion, but not in the original file when opened in Preview. Is there a way to preserve the annotations in Reunion? Suggestons?

Have you tried "printing" the annotated PDF as a new PDF? By creating new document with your annotations, Reunion may think it is a regular PDF.
